AcroSoft Announces PHT Services, Ltd. Implementation

AcroSoft Corporation Announces New Risk Management Implementation, PHT Services, Ltd.

COLUMBIA, S.C., February 2009

AcroSoft Corporation recently completed the implementation of their document management and workflow solution for PHT Services, Ltd (PHTS). PHTS, located in Columbia, SC, offers risk management services to the South Carolina healthcare industry.

The initial implementation project includes a variety of access points for PHTS associates and partners. Associates can access files quickly to better manage claims for their member hospitals, improving service to member risk managers, in-house counsel, and others. In addition, an improved claims review process is now facilitated through browser-based access to documents and files for third party medical claim coders, a process that was previously manual and time consuming.

The AcroSoft system has multiple interface points with both new and existing applications at PHTS. Integration with their claims application, CRICO RMF’s CMAPS, allows the sharing of claims data between applications, keeping both systems in sync as information is updated. In addition, multiple projects are planned for future development, including secure linked access to claim files for insureds and in-house counsel, as well as secure access for defense council.

PHTS Chief Information Officer Scott Sappenfield explains that PHTS looks forward to future development and partnership opportunities with AcroSoft. “One of PHTS’s objectives is to provide an enterprise-wide document management solution capable of providing the highest value to our entire organization.
